Cast Technician Cert (Finance)
Provides DME/Casting Orthopaedic care to patients within clinic as needed for schedule coverage
Accommodate patient volume by assigning/changing staff for maximum patient flow and minimum patient wait times
Prepares Casting rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
Reviewing and maintaining inventory management system
Keeps an open line of professional communication with assigned staff and providers regarding patient needs
Other
Follows all applicable department and practice policies and procedures
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with healthcare trends, compliance and practices
Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice
Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
Participates in committee meetings to facilitate system changes
Attends all regular meetings
Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager or Physicians
Maintains compliance with continuing educational requirements to maintain professional affiliations, certifications, licensure, etc..
Typical Physical Demands
Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position Involves sitting, standing and walking. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. Employee will work under stressful conditions, and work irregular hours. Employee may be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis.
