Senior Director, Internal Communications & Community Engagement (Finance)
The business is undergoing a change with an OOP transition. Based on our new leadership direction, there will be an increasing need for Corporate and site communications. And with a reorganization within the Central Corporate Affairs team, there is a need for a senior role to lead Internal Communications and Community Engagement.
The Senior Director of Internal Communications & Community Engagement leads a team of three Associates and is responsible for stewarding Internal Communications and Community Engagement at Mars. The role is responsible for creating, managing, executing and measuring internal communications to drive business and engagement objectives, best practice sharing, and capability building to engage key stakeholders and all Associates in the Mars Enterprise Strategy, Mars Purpose, and Five Principles. The role is also responsible for the Mars Community Engagement strategy and supporting philanthropy approach and strategy. Additionally, the role leads organizational announcement communications and Board notifications as well as acquisition communications for Mars, Incorporated.
The team is looking for an agile and creative addition to the team who is a great thought leader, people leader and strategic communicator. The role will report into the VP Business & Change Communications and partner closely with the external communications and public affairs teams. The role will also be responsible for partnering closely will all senior internal communicators at Mars to ensure that strategies, frameworks, practices and measurement techniques are aligned with business objectives and increase internal communications excellence.
