Director of Business Development (Creative Design)
The Director of Business Development is responsible for securing new business with a focus on the episodic television market.
The right candidate will identify target opportunities leveraging their existing network as well as the company's existing network. Partnering with our Executive Producers, the candidate will work to bid and ultimately secure prospective projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience, knowledge of and an established network within the episodic television post-production industry. Experience within the visual effects industry preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, secure and manage business relationships primarily within the episodic television market (expect some work within the feature films segment as well)
Help manage the bid proposal process, ensuring thoughtful and competitive bids are presented to clients and potential clients in a timely manner
Help organize and attend client meetings relating to upcoming projects
Hand-off awarded work to Executive Producers, ensuring a smooth transition that leaves both client and internal production teams comfortable
Act as an ambassador for the company, be knowledgeable of its history, current projects, key executives and creatives and capabilities.
Maintain a deep understanding of the VFX industry, particularly competitors and upcoming opportunities to help guide business development strategies
Attend conferences, screenings, and other events for networking purposes
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a client-facing post production capacity (VFX preferred)
Strong network of contacts within the post-production industry
Deep understanding of the vendor/supplier relationship within the post-production industry
A self-starter, who can self-manage and is driven to succeed
