CNA/HHA Caregiver (Live-In) (Personal Services)
CompassCare is a private duty home care company which specializes in concierge services. This means we work one on one with elderly clients in the privacy of their home, and we support them with all their needs including personal care, activities of daily living, light housekeeping, household management, and much more. When our clients have specific needs or requests, we find a way to make sure we deliver. We aim to delight our clients every time!
What do our Caregivers do?
Caregivers are the heart of the services which we deliver to our clients. They work directly with our clients, providing care for all their needs, and most importantly building a strong relationship with the client. We expect our caregivers to complete the tasks within the CarePlan, find ways to improve the client's lifestyle, empower independence in their client, and work with the CompassCare staff and their families to help client maintain a happy and comfortable life.
What we look for in our Caregivers...
At CompassCare we strive to hire the best of the best. We conduct numerous interviews and only those that have the right attitude, and a strong caregiving foundation get to join us. Flexible caregivers are very important to assure continuous placement, someone who is fully available, willing to travel to different places, and can care for all types of clients has a better chance of growing within the company. We are looking for:
1 year minimum as a caretaker (companion, personal assistant, direct care) or the equivalent clinical experience
Preferred experienced caretaking for clients with Dementia, Alzheimer, and personal care
Empathy and ability to care for a client's social, emotional, physical, and mental needs
A proactive caretaker who goes above and beyond the client's requests
A professional demeanor which includes the ability to communicate well with the client, families, and the office
Someone who is patient, stays calm in an emergency, and provides excellent customer service
Professional performance, including but not limited to polished appearance and behavior, early arrival (by 10-15 min), daily reporting, and attendance at care team meetings
Preferred licensed CNA, or HHA, or a candidate who is willing to obtain this certification 9 months into the position
Driver's license and access to a car, ability to work with pets in home, willingness to work with a smoker, and being COVID-19 vaccinated (if not vaccinated bi-weekly testing required) is highly preferred

**Hourly rates vary by client, and there is a possibility of rates as low as $16/hour.
