Nursing Assistant, CNA, NA – Family Prac Forensics D4-6, 20% FTE, Per Diem (Healthcare)



Work Schedule:

Inpatient units are rotating 8 and 4 hour shifts, include every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

  • Evening/Night: 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM, 6:30 PM – 11:00 PM, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM.

Pay:

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

External hires may be eligible for a $600 or $900 sign on bonus.

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to:

  • Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the unit.
  • Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. You'll assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
  • Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.

Education:

Minimum – Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program.

Work Experience:

Preferred – One (1) year recent experience as a Nursing Assistant.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Must be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry, CPR certification required within three months of hire.

Preferred – CPR Certification.
