Machine Operator (Manufacturing)
Oversee and operates machines in a manufacturing or a clean room environment, maintains processes and procedures along with Safety and Quality manufacturing requirements.
- Operates machinery and packs parts to meet quality and production standards. This may include a group of machines or a single manually attended machine. - Works with other operators to maintain and improve the working environment. - Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production activities. - Takes training from Supervisor, Set-up personnel and Process Technicians to enhance knowledge and experience in all aspects of the operation. - Works with the Quality department personnel to be sure they understand and maintain current quality standards. - Responsible for the housekeeping and safety of their work areas. - Flexible and able to work in all areas assigned to meet customer requirements. - Ability to visually inspect product for common defects and pack parts per operator instructions This job description indicates the general nature and level of work, duties and responsibilities expected of the incumbent. Required Competencies, Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - Prior Plastics Injection Molding experience preferred - Ability to learn and display an understanding of quality, safety and process knowledge - Capable of working with team members as needed - Must be self-motivated . Education and Job Experience - High school diploma or GED preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands - Standing for long periods of time - Moderate continuous lifting, pushing, pulling - Reaching overhead - Subject to high noise levels from operating machines - Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts - Normal manufacturing environment and clean room.
