WAVE is currently looking for a Coordinator to join our team!

The General Coordinator is a working leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Axiom and Dynamax manufacturing cells. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and productive work environment while fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The General Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all processes and equipment in the assigned cells and will be instrumental in driving safety, quality, and performance metrics.

Safety:

  • Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with the 8-Step Safety Process, Think-Plan-Act, and Risk Tolerance principles.
  • Conduct weekly safety walks and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all team members are trained in safe work practices and submit hazard and spill reports as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Lead safety communications and corrective actions when necessary.

Organizational Vitality:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment and facilitate employee recognition
  • Support or administer onboarding for new full-time and contract employees.
  • Encourage teamwork, optimism, and engagement within the department.

Operations:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to Axiom and Dynamax cell team members while working as a member of the team (working Coordinator)
  • Lead Axiom and Dynamax team members in a way that establishes and maintains a motivating and open working environment.
  • Direct allocation of resources ie. Shift line ups, job assignments, etc.
  • Record daily attendance of seasonal and regular full time employees
  • Communicate key messages to the team members, and lead the team in daily stand up / shift start up meetings
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to Axiom and Dynamax cell team members.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including shift lineups and job assignments.
  • Monitor and record daily attendance for all employees.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings and communicate key messages to the team.
  • Act as SME and on-site trainer for all operations and equipment in the Axiom and Dynamax cells.
  • Support lean initiatives such as Gemba walks and continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies including break times, phone usage, and shutdown procedures.
  • Accurately enter and post end-of-shift production data.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align on production schedules, staffing, and priorities.

Administrative:

  • Complete all required shift paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.
  • Track and report on actual vs. targeted performance metrics.
  • Lead and support departmental projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current WAVE employee and in good standing
  • Required; familiarity with WAVE operations
  • Required; demonstration of leadership skills
  • Desire to lead a team and begin leadership development
