Product Quality Analyst (R&D)

Duties & Responsibilities:
The QA Analyst will work closely with production teams, engineers, and management to support the delivery of high-quality products to our customers by ensuring that optical coating products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves:
- Reviewing and understanding Product Order Documentation (Purchase Orders and Sales Orders notes, Quality Clauses, Statement of Work, Customer Drawings or other written requirements) and creating manufacturing and testing instructions from these customer requirements.
- Compiling and packaging data from various sources and assuring that in-process and final product data meets all customer and internal requirements.
- Organizing inspections and performing tests.
- Helping to resolve technical and operational roadblocks preventing parts moving through manufacturing process.
- Processing and documenting NCMRs and Customer Complaints.
- Creating and following through on Change Notices and associated training for production and engineers.
- Ensuring compliance with industry and company-specific quality standards.
- Performing other assignments as needed.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- A 4-year Degree is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in quality systems role.
- Strong communication and organization skills required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Able to take tasks / projects and run with it.
- Fluent in English, must be ITAR eligible.
- Optics handling, cleaning and inspection.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with QA software tools.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet timelines. Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle (PLM) solutions.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and IATF16949.
- Proficiency in the use of QA testing equipment such as spectrophotometers, thickness gauges, and profilometers.
- Experience with Statistical data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with optical component testing methods.
