Personal Trainer (First & Main) (Project Management)
Must be 18 years of age
Able to work at least 5 paid personal training sessions per week (1 hr., ½ hr., small group training)
Certified in one or more of the following: ACE, NASM, NCCPT, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, NESTA, Cooper Institute, NETA Successful completion of the following three online courses: Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y, Principles of Member Health & Well-Being, and Foundations of Listen First within 6 months of hire
Successful completion of the following three online courses: Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y, Principles of Member Health & Well-Being, and Foundations of Listen First within 6 months of hire
Minimum of 1 year in health and fitness field
All YMCA staff positions require certification in CPR/AED-Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Oxygen Administration. Preferred candidates will have current certifications however training is available
KEY FOCUS AREAS:
Administer Fit Path Consultations to our YMCA Members
Conduct one on one, 30 minute, small group, and/or group training workouts
Help drive the usage of our technology based platforms (MY Y On Demand, PT Check In, Appointment King)
Interpret assessment results to clients and based on evaluation and client's goals, design and implement a fitness program
Support and follow YMCA pollicies and decisions and answer member questions about the YMCA and its programs.
Attend staff meetings as directed
