Project Administrator (Finance)



As a Project Administrator at Honeywell, you will provide support to a group of scientists in the Materials Characterization group and participate in collaborative support activities with other administrative support staff members to ensure smooth operations of the research department activities. This role involves a variety of tasks including requisitioning laboratory and office supplies and services; facilitating communications across work groups; helping to coordinate special events.

You will report directly to our Sr. R&D Manager, and you'll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location onsite M-F.

In this role, you will impact project outcomes by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and maintaining documentation, which will contribute to the overall success of our initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates purchase requisitions for laboratory and office supplies, laboratory equipment and vendor service agreements.
  • Interacts with laboratory personnel, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams
  • Provides inventory management of various consumable supplies
  • Provides administrative and project management support to department team members including expense tracking
  • Develops job aids and provides training on procurement related workflow processes
  • Sends announcements and other department or site related communication to department team members
  • Supports special event planning and coordination activities
  • Could support the Riverside, IL site

BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL

The annual base salary range for this position is $43,700 - $55,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. In this role, you will impact project outcomes by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and maintaining documentation, which will contribute to the overall success of our initiativesYOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years prior administrative support or project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Project and Excel.
  • Experience in managing project documentation and reporting.
