ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Neat, good grooming habits and courteous. Must be able to communicate with, be interested in, and have compassion for the elderly. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, in the English language. Must be able to read menus and interpret to residents. Should have good organizational skills to meet deadlines and goals. Needs to have the ability to work in a team environment both in dietary and the overall health care team. Ability to maintain professional composure under stressful conditions and situations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Completion of a high school or GED equivalency. Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language. One year of food service experience as a waitperson, preferably in senior living/health center or institutional food service department.
