Summary

The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board's Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate and graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board's internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes.Technology Services (TS) seeks IT Compliance and Information Security majors with academic and/or work experience in Information Security, Information Technology Compliance, or Project Support. The internship is the ideal opportunity to work in an environment where transformation and organization change management intersect with human resources, finance, and other technology systems. The applicant will support various TS initiatives and will be expected to support existing TS compliance programs. The applicant will support risk assessments and testing within the TS compliance program. The applicant will support monitoring of business processes and controls as it relates to TS systems and cloud services, help analyze and document current compliance function workflows, and research industry recommended enhancements and standardization that may address potential compliance gaps. The applicant will support documenting changes to TS processes and procedures to address compliance gaps or improve adherence to regulatory requirements. The applicant will leverage TS data and analytics to identify root causes of compliance issues. The applicant should be familiar with or have the ability to learn NIST, SOX and/or COBIT frameworks, Risk management or Compliance initiatives. The applicant must be motivated to develop career skills, which align with business and technology through people, process, and tools. Requires strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, excellent written and oral skills, and a customer centric approach. Must be able to excel on individual as well as team assignments. Apply
