Global Sr. Brand Manager - Innovation (Marketing)
The Global Senior Brand Manager, Innovation is responsible for leading and building a productive Acne innovation pipeline that supports accelerated and continuous growth for our acne brands in all key global markets. As the leader of innovation for the franchise, this position will exhibit role model vision & collaboration skills, which will bring about a dynamic cross-functional innovation team (matrix organization) that is an exciting place to work. This position combines strategic thought development alongside individual project leadership and is likely to have one BM reporting into it based in Switzerland • Create and deliver short and long- term (5 yr.) innovation pipeline for Proactiv, Benzac and Differin equities. Understand lead markets key goals & business priorities and determine, align and execute innovation that fully delivers against these and so accelerates local and global growth rates. • Create and align robust Global Innovation Strategy that outlines compelling innovation platform areas and cadence of NPD and Claim innovation. • Act as a role model leader in collaboration with other innovation colleagues based in the US & globally and with key market leaders. Build effective and well-founded partnerships internally that energize and engage all marketing & cross-functional colleagues working on innovation • Act as the company expert on short & long term consumer & technology trends in acne & skincare to enable us to stay ahead of the market • Lead specific innovations to point of handover to local markets, delivering NPD launch kit and other necessary assets for local markets to launch with excellence. Share innovation learnings and best practice across markets to raise overall market performance levels • Engage closely with appropriate colleagues to ensure that all innovation and development is fully compliant with all company standards and meets local legal and regulatory requirements • Estimated travel is 20% (internationally). • Other duties as assigned Travel & Residency El Segundo, CA
• Seven (7) + years of marketing experience in FMCG / FMCH international companies, ideally in skin care and or OTC, at a local and global level • Successful track record of working in a matrix organization, effectively collaborating, influencing and engaging with cross-functional colleagues based in different continents to build strong collaborative teams working in a high performance environment • Intercultural savviness to be able to engage influentially with global colleagues • Successful track record of coaching, mentoring, leading and developing people • Advanced in brand management in the FMCG industry at a local, and ideally regional / global level. • Advanced in turning consumer, market and financial trends and data into strategies and initiatives to feed brand growth and equity • Advanced in driving connectivity with target consumers in a digital world Entrepreneurial mindset (creative thinking and innovation)
