Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant- Inpatient Gynecologic Oncology (Finance)



Work Schedule :

100% FTE, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care for our cancer patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments of oncology patients with acute health issues from cancer and cancer therapies (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy)
  • Manage and modify ongoing hospital-based care and collaborate with inpatient Gyn Oncology team and consulting team to adjust plan of care
  • Perform ER and other inpatient consultations
  • Be a liaison and manage patients as they transition from inpatient to outpatient care
  • Work with a wide variety of team members including students, residents, RNs, social workers, pharmacists and care coordinators.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, patients, and patients' family members.

Education :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:

  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Family; Women's Health.

If Physician Assistant*:
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
