Assistant Director, NCLEX and ATI Success (Personal Services)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. Oversight
Will teach the ATI Capstone course and Nurse 420 preparation courses.
Will be responsible for tracking students through Virtual ATI after graduation to ensure at least 90% of graduates achieve the green light.
Help coordinate students applications to test and NCLEX test dates to ensure optimal results.
Will review ATI Pulse data and proctored exam results to work with lead faculty and TA's to develop individual remediation plans for students with testing deficiencies.
Will serve as the subject matter expert for ATI to help reinforce ATI best practices throughout the program.
Responsible for day-to-day management of ATI resources and testing in the nursing program(s) at the campus. Ensures full integration of ATI tools including preparatory courses Virtual ATI (VATI).
Will be a motivator to encourage other faculty to become ATI champions.
Provides oversight and direction to NCLEX Success Team on ATI testing policies and procedures.
Coaches, develops and mentors NCLEX Success Team. Fosters a spirit of teamwork among NCLEX Success Team members and associates from each nursing program. Works in collaboration with DON(s) to coordinate all cohort testing schedules and remediation activities relative to specialty content subjects. Helps to provide environment of ATI exam integrity and security.
Works in conjunction with DON(s) and faculty members to remediate and monitor the timely generation of Academic Action Plans (AAPs) to achieve desired student outcomes.
Analyzes ATI results to develop initiatives and strategies for NCLEX success. Prepares periodic reports to DON(s) to help track individual/cohort goal accomplishment, trend analysis and faculty usage of ATI products/resources. Ensures full integration of ATI tools in the nursing program(s).
Student Advocate
Utilizes ATI tools to identify students who are academically at risk throughout the course/program and works in collaboration with the DON(s) and NCLEX Success Team to establish and manage a plan of action to ensure a pathway of success through early intervention and remediation upon first failure in course/program. In collaboration with the NCLEX Success Team remediates students through workshops, group tutorials and one on one tutoring to improve ATI and academic performance.
Meets with students one-on-one or in conjunction with NCLEX Success Team to provide individual academic advising. Reviews organization and study habit skills along with test taking strategies by creating a climate of support that builds confidence and self-efficacy. Maintains an 80% programmatic retention in both ADN and VN programs.
Data Analysis
Provides ATI analysis of data such as proctored assessments, time in tutorial sessions, and pre/post tests on comprehensive predictors to appropriately advise the DON(s) and help to develop strategies to improve results.
Maintains summary analysis of at-risk students for all nursing programs including specific cohort status updates.
Prepares periodic reports to track strategic accomplishment of goals as necessary.
ATI Resource Management
Works in collaboration with DON(s) to ensure campus ATI faculty training is completed in accordance to ATI schedule and helps to provide thorough ATI onboarding for all new faculty and training tips/best practices/test preparation for campus faculty and other ACC nursing faculty. Provides DON(s) with periodic updates on faculty usage and their effectiveness of ATI tools/resources and ATI remediation in the form of Academic Action Plans (AAPs).
Coordinates with ATI in preparation for Capstone course and teaches that course when needed. Creates and maintains the progress report for each current cohort in VATI.
Assists DON(s) in managing ATI orders created in Basware and associated purchasing orders/invoices. Provides CDN Codes form to students that need re-alignment.
Serves as a campus liaison with ATI company representatives.
General
Participates in professional development and organizations in order to maintain an understanding of current ideas, research and practices, attends meetings, workshops and seminars to enrich personal growth, knowledge and skill in management development.
Maintains professional appearance for position and serves as a role model, leader and mentor to the campus community.
Adheres to College policies and procedures and provides leadership to nursing programs through guidance and example.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the College's Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and states laws, and applicable professional standards.
Maintains confidentiality of all student, associate, and/or college information as required.

Maintains order, cleanliness and safety at work.
Participates in orientation of new students.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that include course work in education or business administration OR equivalent experience required.
Master's degree in nursing preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current vocational nurse or registered nurse licensed required. Must meet faculty requirements.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of at least one (1) year previous experience with program management.
Knowledge in technological support and delivery of educational programs and services.
Knowledge and evidence of strong and management skills, and administrative systems management as applicable to specialized program area.
Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as ABHES, BVNPT, BRN, and other accreditation standards.
Experience with MS Office.
Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections.
Preferred:
ATI product experience.
A minimum of one to two years of professional testing and/or statistical data experience involving database management.
Experience working with nursing programs.
Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System.
Experience with Campus Vue.
