Research, Development & Innovation Technician (Engineering)
The RDI Technician is a hands-on position that is part of the R&D team in Cincinnati that supports projects for North America and Asia. The Technician will work with the team to evaluate new products, perform strategic brainstorming, evaluate materials and processing methods amongst other duties.
Job Title: Research, Development & Innovation Technician (RDI Technician)
Location: Cincinnati, OH (On-site)
A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities
• Supports product and/or process development projects as part of the R&D team
• Responsible for running experiments, preparing test samples, physical property testing, operating various pieces of pilot production & test equipment, recording data and reporting outcomes.
• Assignments and projects that lead to new products, qualification of new raw material suppliers and new manufacturing processes.
• Develops and introduces ideas and efficiency proposals for our products and processes.
We're Looking for A Self-Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements:
• 2-5 years' experience in new product development or R&D environment.
• Minimum of an Associates of Science, Engineering, Chemistry or similar degree.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Proven experience working with and around equipment / workshop tools (table and panel saws, routers, sanders, etc.)
• Basic chemistry skills including solution prep, titration and dilution
• Ability to comprehend written test protocol and specifications
• Experience with Minitab & Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Project.
• Organizational skills including the ability to maintain an organized lab notebook
