Security Manager (Project Management)

Reports To: Senior Manager, Casino Operations 

Pay Grade: TBD 

Location: All GLC Properties 

Position Summary — The Security Manager plans, directs and carries out policies and procedures related to the casino operations security. 

Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Addresses personnel matters in adherence to departmental protocols, established casino standards, and procedural guidelines. 

  • Prepares and manages budget, including expenses related to staffing levels, capital expenditures, and maintenance costs. 

  • Assumes Human Resources responsibilities for the department, cultivating a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, provides performance feedback, and upholds mutual respect. 

  • Ensures high-quality compliance with company policies and legal requirements. 

  • Demonstrates professional communication skills, fostering and sustaining positive relationships with both staff and management. 

  • Executes all duties in compliance with regulatory statutes, the employee handbook, departmental policies, and safety regulations at Grand Lake Casino. 

  • Providing strong leadership to guide and inspire teams. Building and managing high-performance teams. Mentoring and developing team members. 

  • Making critical decisions that impact the overall success of the organization. 

  • Communicating the organization's vision, mission, and goals to employees.  

  • Addressing complex problems and challenges within the organization. Implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Leading and managing organizational change initiatives. Adapting strategies and operations to meet evolving business needs. 

  • Identifying and mitigating risks that could impact the organization. Developing and implementing risk management strategies. 

  • Providing regular reports on key performance indicators and other relevant metrics. Keeping senior leadership and stakeholders informed about the organization's performance. 

  • Perform services to assure the safety and protection of property and personnel against injury or death, harassment or intimidation, and loss or damage from any preventable cause including fire, theft, embezzlement, damage or destruction, trespass, espionage, or sabotage 

  • Maintain and update a property loss and prevention program. 

  • Establish and install controls for key and property access. 

  • Report and track incidents involving theft, fraud, or injury. 

  • Maintain an emergency training curriculum. 

  • Develop physical security response. 

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates guest service standards consistent with the Grand Lake Casino's core service standards and brand attributes. 

Qualifications   

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent supervisory/management experience required. 

  • Bachelor's degree in security management or criminal justice preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • Extensive knowledge of MICS and applicable gaming regulations. 

  • Skilled in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. 

  • Ability to communicate professionally and form and maintain excellent relationships with staff. 

Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a preemployment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations. 

Physical Requirements — Position requires the ability to twist, stoop, bend, carry, pull, rotate, and use extensive and repetitive hand movement and finger dexterity; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. 

Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights. 

Special Working Conditions — Must be able to have a flexible and versatile schedule to include weekends and holidays.
