Program Manager- Strategic Initiatives (Finance)
Our team consists of economists, policy analysts, and outreach specialists serving the community by conducting applied research and analyzing data and trends; sharing findings and policy implications through publications and webinars, face-to-face meetings and conferences; gathering intelligence from community members and convening meetings that bring together key players in community and economic development for a common purpose. Through both quantitative and qualitative research, we strive to provide credible, evidence-based support and solutions for challenges that LMI people face across the regions we serve.
Position Summary
A unique opportunity exists at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland to serve as Program Manager of Strategic Initiatives, reporting to the Community Development Outreach Manager. The individual will lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives of the Community Development department, including a major workforce initiative intended to improve economic opportunity for lower-income workers in communities across our District aimed at systems-level change.
In coordination with cross-sector public, private and non-profit partners and steering committee, the individual will design and implement the program with support of the outreach team, consultants and evaluators as needed. The initiative is part of a broader effort to improve low- and moderate-income communities in the Fourth District through objective analysis of factors that impact the productive capabilities of the current and future workforce, along with factors that impede the ability for all segments of the population to have access to good jobs and to obtain the skills needed to fill them.
Essential Accountabilities
Knowledge Area - Advanced Level
Familiarity with philanthropy (national and/or local), local and state government, cross-sector partnerships.
Expertise in workforce and/or economic development, public policy.
Commitment to promoting the economic opportunities of underserved populations.
Skill Area - Advanced Level
Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
