What is the opportunity?:

As a Staff DevSecOps Engineer in a small but mighty team, you will wear many hats. At times you will function as a Cloud Security Architect, designing technical enhancements that serve as a model across product lines. At other times, you will be assisting DevOps teams in responding to potential incidents, or triaging urgent findings, or
improving our security management processes. You thrive on a fast-paced environment with a lot of variety.

You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the industry to continually assess and improve the security posture of leading SaaS products in the End User Computing space. Here's what you'll be doing:

- Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Integrate and enhance security controls in CI/CD workflows for efficient and secure software delivery across microservices and cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless).

- Security Configuration Standards: Design and refine security configurations using tools like WAF, firewalls, NIDS/HIDS, and AWS to strengthen application and system security.

- Vulnerability Management: Implement proactive strategies for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities using SCA, SAST, and runtime scanning tools in cloud environments.

- Security Automation: Develop automation for security and compliance processes using tools like Ansible and Terraform.

- Threat Modeling: Conduct threat modeling for new and existing services using frameworks like STRIDE, PASTA, and MITRE ATT&CK to identify and mitigate risks.

- Incident Response: Support and improve incident detection and response efforts with quick decision- making and a continuous improvement mindset.

- Security Advocacy: Promote a culture of security through training, communication, and evangelism across teams.

- Security Research & Testing: Stay current with security trends and testing methodologies, leveraging modern tools and a lifelong learning approach.

What will you bring to Omnissa?

- 6+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD environments on AWS

- Strong knowledge of cloud security weaknesses and mitigation techniques

- Proficiency in at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, Terraform, CloudFormation.

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to learn independently and is self-driven

- Experience leading practical threat modeling

- Excellent documentation and communication skills

- Previous experience in SaaS product security strongly preferred

Location: Mountain View, CA or Atlanta, GA
Location Type: Hybrid
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
