Senior Multifamily Development Officer (Finance)
Community Housing Partners (CHP) is seeking an experienced Senior Multifamily Development Officer to be responsible for day-to-day real estate development activities that create successful outcomes as projects move through the development process to completion. The Sr. Multifamily Development Officer works collaboratively with Property Management, Finance, Asset Management, and other Development staff to create successful outcomes as projects move through the Development process. The Senior officer should be able to carry out the responsibilities of a development project from project inception to permanent financing close out and have significant understanding of all aspects of the development process, due to the additional years of experience and understanding that this position requires.
Essential duties of the Development Officer include:
The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience using affordable housing financing programs including HOME, LIHTC, Federal and State Historic Tax Credits, tax exempt bonds, Federal Home Loan Bank products, etc., and must have the ability to develop successful funding applications, cost and operating pro formas for affordable multifamily housing developments, underwrite multifamily properties, and review and coordinate application documents as needed. Must have a bachelor's degree, and no less than 10 years of progressively responsible experience working for an affordable housing development company or a closely related field and at least 7 years of independent project management experience. Bilingual a plus.
The Senior Multifamily Development Officer position is based out of Richmond, VA, however daily travel to project sites may be necessary. Salary is competitive and based on experience.
