Medical Respite Specialist (Healthcare)
The Medical Respite Specialist reports to the Executive Program Director, DC Behavioral Health and is responsible for providing all necessary support activities to the Medical Respite program in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the Medical Respite operational program manual. Primarily under the guidance of the external partner, Assistant Residence Director (Pathways LICSW) and Resident Director (Unity), the Specialist will provide services directly to the residents of the Medical Respite program that are essential to assist the residents towards greater independence, effective management of their medical conditions and the achievement of their rehabilitation and recovery goals. This includes but is not limited to establishing individual and group counseling relationships with residents, providing supportive counseling, and conducting groups and case management.
