Operations Supervisor (Finance)
JOB FUNCTION -
This position will provide leadership, support, and supervision for the Operations departments within PPG Aerospace, ASC-Dallas. The position requires an effective cross training program and training matrix that meets requirements of AS9100 Rev. C or current. They must take an active role in safety, process analysis, Lean implementation and 5S. They also be able to interface with the Production Planning department and take an active role in implementing a manufacturing schedule. Also required are the abilities to efficiently develop and utilize people, equipment, and process, to ensure the departments are aligned towards supporting the goals and business strategies of the Aerospace SBU and PPG. This position must ensure that all PPG Aerospace policies relevant to ASC-Dallas are effectively administered. These include but are not limited to all aspects of the Time and Attendance Policy, Vacation Policy, and all applicable EH&S Procedures and/or Policies. This position is also the primary point of contact for all EHS related issues for the site.
Requires :
Bachelor's degree is Preferred. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Aerospace chemical manufacturing and/or packaging industry. Should have experience in managing a large department or group of 20 or more employees. Must have experience in effectively negotiating solutions to work related issues or disagreements and be able to describe the events. Incumbent must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, analyze data, communicate effectively (both verbal and written), and be very proficient with computer equipment/office programs, in particular with Excel.
