Liability Claims Coordinator (Finance)



Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Liability Claims Coordinator. This position will be based out of our corporate office in Hummelstown, PA.

The Liability Claims Coordinator position is primarily responsible for all aspects of the insurance claims management process as well as assisting the Claims, Safety, Risk, and Quality Managers with their respective administrative needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Handles initial aspects of claims management including but not limited to claims filing, processing, communication with pertinent parties, and associated recordkeeping
· Attach investigative materials to the claim file- police reports, photos, videos, etc.
· Monitor claim payment recovery status
· Update the "Estimates Needed" spreadsheet in real-time (claims and not claims-related)
· Maintain paper and electronic copies of all claims filed with insurance carriers and TPA
· Compose, type, and edit various correspondence, legal notices, reports and memoranda for the Claims, Safety, Risk or Quality Managers
· Assist Claims Manager and VP of Safety and Risk with risk analysis process
· Assist Claims Manager with incident investigations
· Assist with development and production of claims, safety, risk, and quality policies and procedures
· Maintain key relationships with vendors and insurance company representatives
· Attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary
· Perform special projects as needed or assigned by the Claims, Safety, Risk, and Quality Managers and VP of Safety and Risk
· Assist with production of various safety programs
· Respond to basic email inquiries and phone calls for open liability claims in a timely fashion (ideally within 1 business day)
· Review TPA's claim notes and contacting adjusters with any handling suggestions, questions, comments, or concerns
· In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency and close attention to detail, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required from time to time.
