About the Position:
In this position as an In-Store Sales Representative for Rental Services, Billings, MT location, through telephone contacts, you will develop and increase sales to T&E The Cat Rental Store's account base. We are seeking candidates who are willing to be trained to become the best sales people they can be, develop expertise in Caterpillar, Allied (and more) machines and work tools through training, research and perpetual learning. This position will manage an account base primarily using the telephone to deploy a disciplined call campaign, qualify accounts, update the customer's contact information, develop the relationship, and uncover opportunities for Rental Services. You will partner with Marketing to develop target customer strategies and lead generation for follow up sale opportunities. Maximize machine sales by promoting all aspects of Rental Service's product offerings. Establish a personal working relationship with customers based on value, knowledge, trust and character. Monitor and report all pertinent market information relative to competitive activity, customer information and product performance. You will be representing Rental Services at customer functions as required. Another responsibility in the position is to fulfill administrative duties of the position such as customer sales quotes for presentation, meet customer telephone contact measurement goals and develop a strong working relationship with all assigned key customers.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
A working knowledge of Caterpillar product line, related industry experience in Caterpillar sales and being familiar with the construction industry is preferred. To become an ace in this role, the successful candidate will have: solid technical skills, problem-solving capabilities and genuinely like to work with people. Capacity to learn our business well so a minimum of high school education is required combined with 2-3 years of business experience. Communicating both verbally and written will ensure that the customer fully understands our products. Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and Sales Force data base programs, and general office equipment experience are also requested. Have a valid State driver's license.
