Recruiting Coordinator (Human Resources)



The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for assisting in company's recruiting and Talent Acquisition methods and strategies.  They are responsible for finding, attracting and hiring new employees to fill open positions and meet company's workforce needs and goals.

Essential Functions

  • Write and post job descriptions on Company ATS, career websites, newspapers and universities boards
  • Source and screen candidates
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
  • Conduct phone, virtual and/or in-person interviews
  • Provide a list of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Attend job fairs and careers events
  • Other HR duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervision responsibilities

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Expected work hours

Monday- Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 2-4 years of proven work experience recruiting and/or Human Resources
  • Knowledge of general principles of recruiting
  • Experience in candidates sourcing solutions and applicant tracking systems
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews
  • Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn
  • Ability and willingness to learn about the position requirements
  • Ability to scan large volumes of resumes.
  • Good understanding and experience with HR tools such as ATS and HRIS
  • Some understanding of basic marketing strategies
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
