PACAF Exercise Planner - Korea (Government)

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Exercise Support Program: ANSER is seeking qualified personnel to conduct exercise project officer and planning support on behalf of HQ PACAF A3YE. Exercises will be planned and executed in support of PACAF and US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) objectives across the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility, and in support of warfighting, Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Response (HA/DR), and Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) operations.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Forward Operations Exercise Project Officers will support Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major Command (MAJCOM) Headquarters (HQ) and Component Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) exercises, engagements and assigned operations from a forward operating location in Kunsan AB, Korea. Project Officers will plan and coordinate Field Training Exercises (FTXs), Command Post Exercises (CPXs), and other training events that prepare tactical and operational forces for possible future contingencies. Project Officers will plan exercise operations and logistics using an analysis of exercise objectives & tasks, PACAF unit capabilities, deployment requirements, forward operating location assessments, and resource constraints. Duties include:
Support planning across the Joint Event Life Cycle
Participate in planning meetings and develop and present plans documentation
Assist in observer/controller activities and document lessons learned for after action reporting
Support exercise database management and updates via JTIMS and other DOD applications
Support exercise budget development and execution
Provide JOPES, DCAPES and TPFDD support
Support regular program management reporting tasks
Specific Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance
Minimum 3 years of exercise planning experience at MAJCOM, equivalent
3+ years of experience with JOPES, DCAPES to support MAJCOM level (or equivalent) deployments of personnel and/or aircraft
Possess a working knowledge of Korea, its customs, courtesies and history / background
Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation within
Experience as a staff-level exercise planner, and experience planning/executing CPXs/FTXs within the PACOM AOR
Operational and/or logistical experience in the Asia-Pacific Theater
Knowledge of the operational and logistical support required for exercises, deployments, and mobilizations and familiar with TPFDD nomenclature
Working knowledge of JTIMS and TSCMIS requirements and capabilities
Strong interpersonal/social skills; proven staff officer/contractor support excellence
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or higher and three years of relevant experience -or- AAS with 5 years of relevant experience
Location: Kunsan AB, Korea
