Merchandising Operations Specialist - Hybrid (Transportation)
The Merchandising Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting a team of merchants/buyers in all aspects of developing, communicating, and executing the strategic business plan across multiple categories. Provides support to Product Merchants/Buyers on projects with varied scope, including but not limited to supporting team's growth initiatives by assisting in executing strategies, marketing, communication, customer service, and trade shows. Collaborates cross-functionally with multiple departments across the company.
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Executes strategy for circular promotional events
2. Executes strategies for promotional soft proofing, promotional savings report, promotional change requests, etc.
3. Collects and maintains tracking of vendor advertising contracts
4. Creates and maintains promotional letters
5. Accounts for the collection of booth revenue for bi-annual trade shows, in collaboration with Events & Meetings Department.
6. Produces Vendor Managed Data (VMD) event order forms
7. Coordinates, tracks and maintains Dealer Programs.
8. Creates and maintains promotional contracts for Reunion (Bi-Annual Trade Show), in collaboration with Accounts Payable
9. Responds to customer inquiries through various channels (Customer Relationship Management, Members Online (customer intranet portal) customer inquiries, email, etc.)
10. Builds and processes service procedures, policies and standards
11. Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments like Events & Meetings, Sales, Marketing, Inventory, etc.
12. Provides vendor communications on several topics (policy, procedure changes, Reunion, charitable events, etc.)
13. Processes vendor and customer debits and credits
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
· 1-3 years of experience, preferably in merchandising and/or retail industry.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
