AME Operator/Logs and Records (Finance)



TASK DESCRIPTION: This position is assigned to Production Control to maintain aircraft and equipment logbooks and records. TASK REQUIREMENT: 1. Maintain aircraft and engine databases by processing source documents (Naval Flight Record System (NAVFLIR), VIDS/MAFs; make entries into AME in accordance with KAMP. 2. Initiate, maintain, closeout, reinitiate, and dispose of aircraft and equipment logbooks/records. 3. Coordinate inventories of aircraft components and assemblies. 4. Maintain Compass Calibration Cards, make miscellaneous/history page entries as required. 5. Maintain local records on items that have a service life. Monitor accumulations and keep Production Control informed of forced removal items, such as high time. 6. Ensure LUI tracking reports are provided to verify against applicable engine Aeronautical Engine Service Records prior to engine acceptance or transfer. 7. Screen all VIDS/MAFS Engine logbooks and other documents for logs and records requirements. Make required logs and records entries. 8. Perform periodic validation of configuration reports between AME database and aircraft logs and records. 9. Support OJT and cross training of KAF personnel. MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of four (4) years maintenance administration experience with at least two (2) years experience in Logs and Records. 2. Completion of AME operator course required. 3. Working knowledge of aircraft logbook structure and maintenance requirements. 4. No security clearance required.
