Product Development Manager (Legal)

Job Description:

This manager position is responsible for gaining an understanding of projects, recommending solutions to achieve project goals, and overseeing the execution of data and software related solutions. This role is client facing and will share responsibility with Client Services for overall project success.  As a technical expert and client facing leader, leadership of paired SCRUM and KANBAN teams will be required to meet deliverable needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in client calls/visits as a project leader/technical expert
  • Oversee all technical initiatives for assigned projects
  • Directly manage teams responsible for the execution of data tasks
  • Perform immediate, near-term, and long-term planning for assigned projects
  • Maintain appropriate operational readiness (staffing, resource levels, core skills, etc.) to perform essential services for assigned projects
  • Establish succession planning and develop leadership within the assigned team
  • Serve as ultimate escalation point for issues, problems, technical decisions for assigned projects
  • For direct reports set individual goals and objectives, conduct performance reviews and coaching, establish development plans, and provide mentorship
  • Establish professional relationships with peer-level managers, other department heads and team managers, and work with them to continuously improve ECA operations

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years experience in SQL development, Software Dev Ops, production manufacturing, or similar environment with multiple projects or products in flight with complex interdependencies.
  • 6+ years experience managing large teams and/or multi-discipline teams.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, tools, performance, techniques, industry standards and best practices.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC.
  • Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong “people” orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience. Fluency in English.
  • Desire and willingness to develop leadership skills and to lead by example.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain cooperative professional relationships.#LI-KW1
