Cook Lead (Food Services)
The Moscow Food Co-op seeks a Lead Cook to supervise the preparation of a variety of items including salads and entrees for the deli cases, hot bar, and salad bar; as well as performing associated tasks like prepping, cleaning, and stocking. This position will assist the Kitchen manager in coordinating operations while meeting goals for production, sales, margin, and labor. The lead cook supervises the cooking team and the production schedule. Cooking experience and knowledge of alternate diets is preferred. Applicant must be a team player, able to follow instructions, be motivated and self-directed, with an ability to sustain a brisk working pace and stand for 8 hours. Must also have a positive, friendly attitude, be able to work with a wide variety of customers and employees and be punctual and reliable. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and obtain an Idaho Health Department food and safety certification.

Job Description
The Lead Cook is responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager in operations of the Moscow Food Co-ops kitchen. This position will supervise the cooks and preparation of consistent and high quality food while providing excellent customer service and meeting goals for production, sales, margin, and labor. This position works closely with the Kitchen Manager and Prepared Foods Manager to support achievement of the Moscow Food Co-ops strategic goals.
