RN-Neuro Clinic (Healthcare)



Work Schedule:

60% FTE, day shift. No weekends, no holidays.  Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered. You will work at the Neuro Clinic located within University Hospital, Madison, WI.

Join our world-class interdisciplinary team of providers, nurses, and other skilled team members to provide life-changing care for brain and nervous system disorders; allowing patients with neurological disorders to live the best life possible!

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

  • Contribute to a highly collaborative team and learning environment, where everyone's voice is valued, staff wellbeing is a priority and critical thinking, and questions are encouraged.
  • Engage in collaboration, serving as the touchpoint for patients via MyChart, phone and in-person.  Programs within the neurology clinic include: epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, MS, neuromuscular disorders, neuropsychology and stroke care.
  • Serve as an educator for patients and their families regarding therapies, treatment plans and medications.
  • Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, muscle biopsies and skin punch biopsies.
  • Serve as an advocate and educator for patients and families effected by stroke who are transitioning care from the hospital to home.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of school of nursing.

Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of RN experience.

Preferred - Relevant RN experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact. CPR/BLS Certification.

Preferred - Applicable clinical certification
