Sr Photographer (Manufacturing)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine lighting requirements, composition, background, prop and product set up as well as any additional specifications to ensure quality shooting.
  • 2. Stay connected to current trends and periodically review competing creative work in order to foster an inspirational approach. Blend a freshness and modern approach, using one's talent, to elevate our brand by making it the hero (make it something our customer NEEDS).
  • 3. Use independent decision making skills to judge digital files for color, contrast, balance, background, etc. in order to provide Creative with best possible final images.
  • 4. Devote ample time to consult with internal clients to ensure there is clear direction- resulting in the best possible image captures.
  • 5. Provide expertise in managing standard and unique requests. Continually identify needs for improved/additional photography across all media.
  • 6. Test and set lighting specs and overall look/feel for the season, train staff and ensure consistency. Use experience with high volume workflow management and image quality assurance and take initiative and utilize one's authority to help drive consistency.
  • 7. Demonstrate knowledge on current technologies, equipment, industry trends and competitive market.
  • 8. Direct Assistant Photographers while working directly on the set.
  • 9. Utilize experience with digital media retouch, image manipulation and post production
    techniques and software to enhance/improve raw image quality.
  • 10. Actively participate in our high volume workflow management and image quality
    assurance.
  • 11. Produce editorial photography for focuses, covers, retail signage, national advertising,
    and other unique photography that is brand-right and tells our story.
  • 12. Directly supervise and train junior staff and freelance.

Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years commercial photography in a studio and/or retail environment
  • Provide key leadership in the creative environment
  • Strong knowledge of digital photographic techniques and equipment
  • Knowledge of effective lighting techniques
  • Experienced with on-figure and off-figure image capture
  • Ability to organize and problem solve. Must posses good interpersonal communication and time management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of all photographic formats.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of camera types, image processing and color temperature/balancing.
  • Demonstrated initiative
  • Ability to organize time and meet deadlines, manage workflow and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of still photographic techniques, principles and equipment
  • Training Assistant Photographers in the refinement of their photography skills.
