Position Overview:
Timken is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, a passion for problem-solving, and a track record of delivering high-quality projects. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems and components for various applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure integrated solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for new projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Perform quality control and safety inspections.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and industry trends.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree.
- 5 years electrical engineering experience; including designing, troubleshooting, and implementing electrical systems.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree.
- 10 years electrical engineering experience; including designing, troubleshooting, and implementing electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with industry standards, such as IEEE and NEC.
- Experience with project management and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of power systems, controls, and automation.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
