Ophthalmic Assistant (COA, COT, CPOT) - Ophthalmology - 80% FTE - University Station Clinic (Healthcare)
We are currently seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to:
Education:
Minimum - High School Degree or equivalent
Preferred - Completed an accredited Ophthalmic/Optometric program, Certified Medical Assistant program or Licensed Practical Nurse program
Work Experience:
Minimum - One (1) year of clinical health care experience, if has not completed an educational program
Preferred - One (1) year experience as a Certificated Ophthalmic/Optometric Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
Preferred - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA, CPOT, CPOA)
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule: 80% FTE, 32 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
