Senior Manager of Learning and Development - Government Services (Project Management)
HORNE is looking for a Senior Manager of Learning and Development to join our Government Services Team. This position will lead the training department for Government Services and closely collaborate with the HORNE's People, Growth, and Engagement Team.
Creation and facilitation of training for the Government Services team is the primary responsibility of the Senior Manager of Learning and Development role. This includes project kickoffs, new hire orientations, system usage, firm initiatives and other training courses that are determined. This role will facilitate both in person and over zoom. Other duties will include: Creating a consistent new hire experience for all new team members, being the subject matter expert on training and manage the learning management system. Identifying gaps in learning, developing content and launching new training. The Senior Manager of Learning and Development must be flexible and provide project support at all times.
Qualifications
- College Degree
- 10 + years of management experience in training is preferred
- Strong experience in facilitation
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Experience in training development
- Previous experience in customer services
Minimum Competency Requirements
- Coaching new trainers on presentation skills
- Proven ability to effectively mentor trainees one-on-one and train small or large groups
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms and to successfully convey concepts, processes, and procedures
- Display sound judgement, leadership, organization skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision
- Proven ability to create and implement customer service standards
- Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and manager the learning management system
- Must be willing to travel to project sights across the USA and Puerto Rico. Travel can be up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to be flexible to business needs and adjust/compromise plans as needed
