Electrical Engineering Intern (Engineering)

Please note, this position is located in Naples, FL and is eligible for limited benefits. The ideal candidate will be available from May - August 2021.

Main Objective:

To learn engineering, design and development of medical devices, specifically arthroscopic fluid distention pumps and RF ablation consoles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with test method development, data analysis and report writing
• Assist with electronic cable assembly, breadboard tests and prototyping
• Provide general support to electrical and mechanical engineers.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Completed coursework in electronic circuits, circuit analysis, and embedded systems or digital design required.

Basic working use of oscilloscopes preferred.

Knowledge of electric motors preferred.

Experience with circuit board soldering preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
