Supervisor, Quality Control (Finance)



Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides oversight of the Quality Control group by supervising day-to-day functions in a fast-paced, high-throughput facility to meet performance criteria, business objectives, regulatory and safety needs

In collaboration with the Manager, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates QC staff in all aspects of their responsibilities.Responsibilities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of protocols and procedures.
  • Information database use
  • Report generation.
  • High-quality, high-throughput production environment practices.
  • Detail orientation
  • Familiarity with GDP/GTP/GMP

Ability to:
  • Demonstrate organization and leadership skills
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication, word processing and spreadsheet skills, technical writing of project reports and procedures.
  • Demonstrate project management skills.
  • Show strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proven organizational skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS in a Biological Sciences field, or in biomedical manufacturing management.
  • Minimum four years of experience in a position responsible for managing or coordinating projects in a laboratory, research, clinical or biomedical business setting where extensive quality control standards were required
  • Project leadership experience within the NMDP
