The Web Developer is responsible for performing all stages of the software development lifecycle: planning, requirements gathering, architecture/design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of web applications and related services. Works closely with internal teams and outside vendors to create effective digital solutions to solve business challenges.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Web Applications and Services
• Responsible for planning, requirements gathering, architecture/design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of web applications
• Utilize proper coding techniques and methodologies to implement and automate complex business processes
• Work with project/business teams to develop plans for and perform end-to-end testing and quality assurance
• Perform regular maintenance on web software to ensure up-time and ongoing health and security of digital properties
Digital Properties and Services Issue Resolution
• Troubleshoot (identify, investigate, and communicate) and resolve technical and business personnel requests related to issues or concerns with web software and services as identified or submitted by staff
Internal and External Partnerships
• Communicate web development best practices and solutions to business teams
• Serve as subject matter expert on development of integrations providing data to internal and external sources in a secure, scalable manner
• Work directly with vendors partners to review, direct the creation of, develop, and maintain data integrations for external systems to web infrastructure
Innovation
• Research, Learn, and Implement New Web Technologies as they become available
• Attend industry-leading conferences and trainings and perform individual research to stay on top of current and new technologies for application with systems
• Evaluate and implement new web technologies where available and appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Technology, MIS, Computer Systems, or related fields is required
• Equivalent combination of additional experience beyond the minimum requirement and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing customer-facing, business software solutions is required
• Demonstrated thorough functional knowledge and coding experience within the Microsoft technology stack is required
• Demonstrated experience working with database systems is required
• Experience working directly with business teams to develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and plan work is preferred
• Proven knowledge of current web security standards is preferred
• Experience conducting end-to-end testing of publicly available web software is preferred
• Experience managing web server infrastructure and ensuring website, application, and services up-time is preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be comfortable working as a self-directed member of a team, as well as collaborating with other team members on an as-needed basis for integrated applications and technology solutions is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

Languages, frameworks, and technologies:
• ASP .NET MVC Framework, Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDMS, Windows Server / IIS, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, jQuery/JavaScript, CSS/SASS and HTML5 are required
Software:
• Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio are required
Software development best practices:
• Object oriented programming and design principles are required
• Up-to-date coding techniques and methodologies are required
• Database management systems including creating, manipulating, querying databases, and designing scalable solutions is required
• Test driven development and end-to-end web software testing processes are required
Languages, frameworks, and technologies:
• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Azure DevOps, AngularJS, Angular 2, TypeScript, Web services (SOAP, REST, Web API 2.0), Twitter Bootstrap, Git / SVN, Elastic Search, Episerver CMS, iMIS - Association Management Software, Network Stack, DNS, Digital/SSL certificates, Google/Adobe Analytics are preferred
Software development best practices:
• Modular Microservice Architecture is preferred
• Single Page vs. Multi-Page Application Models is preferred

Schedule: Occasional evenings and weekends required
