Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for transferring goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments, operating gas or electric-powered forklifts, and moving products safely throughout the warehouse. You will load and unload transport vehicles, conduct safety inspections, maintain accurate inventory, and report any discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate gas and electric forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move raw materials, parts, and finished goods.
  • Handle goods for inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform daily safety checks on forklift equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and report discrepancies in stock levels.
  • Support overall warehouse operations by ensuring safe and organized material handling.
  • May lead daily operations, delegate tasks, and review the work of team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior employees, fostering skill development.
  • Independently analyze and solve complex problems, recommending improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the department, serving as a resource for others.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Recognized expertise in a warehouse operations, forklift operation, and material handling.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, guide, and mentor warehouse team members.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making ability for non-routine challenges.
  • Highly proficient in warehouse processes and known as a reliable knowledge base within a team.
  • Ability to work independently, showing initiative and ownership of assignments.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of functional experience, including 4 years in forklift operations; OR
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant warehouse or material handling experience.
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, inventory systems, and warehouse best practices.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $41,900.00 - $67,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
