Software Engineer (Finance)

TransCore, (TRN) a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Software Engineer (Application Developer) to join our team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary: We are looking for a Software Engineer with extensive web development experience to become a member of our software development team based in Harrisburg, PA. The team is currently working on enhancements to our Tolling System software developed for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. System components include a client-server application, public-facing websites, and mobile application for Android and iOS. Our systems utilize a tiered architecture and object-oriented technology, with applications developed in VB.Net and C# using Visual Studio and MS SQL Server development tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern web technologies, responsive design, and performance optimization for large-scale web applications.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Contributing to system's functional design
• Developing new systems and new modules
• Making enhancements to existing components
• Maintaining code standards in all software modules
• Working closely with the team to maintain component reusability and integrity of the system
• Supporting new and existing production systems
• Troubleshooting productions issues
• Unit testing

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• minimum of 5 years experience with web development
• Experience in Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, TSQL, VB.Net and C#
• Object oriented programming skills
• Ability to deliver projects on time and with a high quality of code
