Medical Record Review Analyst (Healthcare)
Unyts, Western New Yorks ONLY Organ, Eye, Tissue and Community Blood Center is seeking qualified individuals that have a passion for making a difference and helping to enhance and save lives through our Donor Screening Coordinator position. This position acts as the gateway to eye and tissue donation within the Western New York community, and directly impacts our life saving mission.
This is a full time position, schedule consists of 3, 12 hour shifts per week. 6:30pm - 6:30am and 6:30am - 6:30pm.
Donor Screening Coordinators have the opportunity to participate in activities that save and enhance lives. Coordinators are responsible for coordinating the unique and complex process of donation that includes taking referral calls, completing medical suitability analysis, obtaining required documentation, mobilizing recovery teams, and completing all related communication in a professional and urgent manner. In addition, Coordinators contact family members to discuss potential donation opportunities for their recently deceased loved ones. Successful Coordinators are highly compassionate, detail-oriented, work well under pressure, have excellent customer service and phone skills, are great at multi-tasking, and are mission-driven.
Job Qualifications: The Donor Screening Coordinators must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will require weekend and Holiday work. An Associates degree or higher and/or some type of medical background with at least one year experience in a health-related field is strongly preferred. Must have strong communication skills, sound judgment, excellent verbal skills, and the ability to interact with a diverse public and healthcare population. The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks in what can be an active environment and demonstrate a professional commitment to donation, as well as the organization's ability to achieve its mission.
