This position will also be responsible for ensuring that there is safe and cost effective manufacturing of B&G Foods products that meet the expectations of our customers.
Summary: Manage all aspects of the Supply Chain.
Responsible for purchasing raw materials, scheduling all production, deployment and maintenance of all finished goods inventories, all warehouse functions including transportation, and reduction of costs whenever possible.
Responsible for safety and food safety / quality.
Duties: Manage all Deployment: · Deploy all finished product from the
Stoughton factory. Create and confirm manifests. ·
Manage all aspects of direct finished product shipments.
Coordinate SKU development Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Purchase packaging supplies for the factory.
Maintain minimum inventories to maximize cash flow.
Establish and maintain good working relationship with all suppliers.
Manage inventory levels at the plant, Distribution Centers, and Capital Warehouse.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data inventory system Identify and reduce costs whenever possible and actively participate in plant cost reduction program.
Maintain safe working environment and actively participate on Safety Committee.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Responsible for accurate reporting of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure traceability.
Reject out-of-spec incoming shipments. Develop, coach, counsel, and train employees to maximize their potential.
Responsible for enforcing Raw Material and Packaging Material FIFO Policy. Performs additional duties as assigned
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in production planning / resource planning or related production experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Prior experience in procurement.
