Primary Purpose: Reviews accounts for accuracy of data entry and completeness of the demographic, financial and benefit information collected for each patient. Provides feedback to staff on audit outcomes, assists in development and implementation of educational material. Goal is to minimize financial risk to organization by ensuring accurate and complete billing, compliance and insurance verification. This position is responsible for assisting fellow staff in following up with commercial and governmental payers to ensure timely resolution of billing issues and accurate claims reimbursement. This individual is also responsible for collaborating within Revenue Cycle to drive payer collections, communicating process issues and improvements to the Lead/Manager and training new staff.Knowledge and Skills:
Education: High school diploma or GED, minimum required,
License and Certification: None required
Years of Experience: Three to five years equivalent experience. Government rules and regulations knowledge desired.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Needs strong communications skills (both verbal and written). Organizational and analytical skills. Requires in depth knowledge billing requirements Government rules & regulations in addition to payer contract methodology Must convey a positive attitude, and be able to provide constructive feedback to associates in a positive manner. Must be able to multi-task.
