Schaeffler Aeospace USA, is seeking a Heat Treat Specialist/1st shift to support our Danbury, CT location. The position will support the production/heat treat operations. Inspect a variety of parts and/or purchased material dimensionally and/or visually to prescribed quality standards and practices. Be proficient in a use of a variety of basic gages, such as: mechanical, pneumatic, optical, and electrical. Use Quality Control sampling tables, production blueprints, and other written instructions necessary to perform assigned task. Be proficient in, and be required, to perform several different operations requiring skill and judgment to take inspection from start to finish as well as perform heat treat inspection. Be able to perform those inspection operations requiring judgment and/or interpretation. Be able to make setups or adjustments on certain standard gages or equipment. Record routine data and count parts as directed. Maintain good housekeeping in immediate area. Perform other comparable or related duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will have:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years in manufacturing environment
Exposure to heat and acid fumes scrap potential is high
Strong communication skills
Ability to read blueprints
Maintain good housekeeping in all areas
