Recruiter (Human Resources)



Position Function:

This position functions as a Generalist within the Human Resource Team with a concentration in Workforce Recruitment.

Essential Job Functions:

Major highlights of the position requirements are noted below.  Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.

  • Responsible for timely, periodic submission of all required clearances and physicals.
  • Acquire requisitions from appropriate sources ensuring process is completed at all stages.
  • Post positions internally and on Carson Valley Children's Aid website.
  • Post positions on external job boards as needed.
  • Source variety of external websites appropriate to all levels and types of Carson Valley Children's Aid positions.
  • Pre-qualify resumes and applications received.
  • Forward qualified resumes and applications to hiring manager after review.
  • Log resumes and applications into database.
  • Responsible for upkeep of recruitment database.
  • Track and report on best sources of recruitment.
  • Provide cost benefit analysis for recruitment strategies.
  • Attend career fairs as requested.
  • Conduct Human Resources portion of on-boarding process.
  • Coordinate balance or orientation week with Training Coordinator.
  • Notify Training Department of participants in bi-weekly orientation.
  • Participate in interview process as needed.
  • Prepare materials to use with orientation using Power Point or Publisher.
  • Participate in regularly team meetings.
  • Represent agency on HR focus or other committees, or focus groups as requested
  • Cross train in other aspects of Human Resources
  • Conduct exit interviews as requested
  • Answer questions from team members on employment aspects as needed

Work Environment and Primary Work Locations:

  • Office environment 
  • Location currently at the Fort Washington office

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, with two (2) years' experience in corporate recruiting setting, preference given to experience in healthcare, human services, or non-profit settings
  • In lieu of degree, four (4) to six (6) years' experience in Human Resources and Recruitment.
  • Preference given to candidates with PayCom ATS experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office products particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Ability to learn new database applications
  • Ability to travel between all CVCA office locations as needed
  • Professional and helpful demeanor
  • Must be able to drive, have vehicle available and valid driver's license

Training Requirements:

  • All new hires are required to go through mandated orientation
  • Comply with Agency Annual Training requirements

Physical Considerations:

  • Ability to lift and bend as required to accomplish filing
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with stressful situations
  • Ability to travel to Career Fair locations and all Carson Valley Children Aid's locations
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and supplies for career fairs as needed
