Quality Control Analyst (Biotech)
New England Biolabs, Inc. (NEB) is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Analyst to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will maintain quality standards by performing QC testing to support the production and release of enzymes and molecular biology reagents. The individual will work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, or stability samples
Interpret test results and compare them to approved specifications
Report questionable test results to management
Perform peer review of test data and analysis
Record experiments in ELNs according to established protocol
Make and maintain inventory of commonly used reagents
Participate in or support atypical or out of specification (OOS) investigations
Maintain up to date training file for the QC Department
Maintain lab cleanliness and adherence to all safety guidelines
Required Qualifications and Experience:
B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
Experience performing laboratory-based tasks, including reagent preparation, sample management, testing and release of raw materials
Experience in operating standard laboratory equipment including centrifuges, pipettes, pH meters, spectrophotometers and running SDS-PAGE and Urea gels is a plus
Have the ability to perform routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out analyses
Possess strong recordkeeping skills and the ability to analyze, interpret and report results to senior staff
Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with others
Have a working knowledge of MS Office applications
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Experience working in a QC lab setting that follows ISO 9001, 13485 and/or GMP Quality Management Standards is a plus
