The Resilience-Water Business Line of Arcadis is currently searching for Field Technicians to join our world-class firm, working primarily in Westchester and Putnam Counties but administratively reporting to the Clifton Park, NY office.

Role description:
The ideal candidate will have some experience working with community members and homeowners and reside in close proximity to Westchester/Putnam County. The successful candidate will need to be a self-motivated individual with the abilities to problem solve and work independently as well as within a team. Exceptional communication skills will be needed to maintain communication between both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have previous experience installing pipes and valves, analytical testing on water piping, and following detailed operating procedures
Role accountabilities:
Work with community members and homeowners to collect water samples and assist with plumbing repairs in private houses as needed.
Install pipes and valves, analytical testing on water, and following detailed operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with Arcadis standards and policies.
Keep log of activities during each event using a table and updating spreadsheets.
Required Qualifications:
5 years' experience working in the field as a field technician.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Self-motivated individual with the abilities to problem solve and work independently as well as within a team.
Exceptional communication skills will be needed to maintain communication between both internal and external stakeholders.
Needs to be courteous, able to work in a team and to follow detailed operating procedures.
Occasional travel for 1 or 2 days to locations in New York state
Requires a current valid driver's license and clean driving record
