Lead Systems Test Engineer (Finance)



For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $99,000 - $147,500 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

Position Summary

• You will drive verification and validation efforts within our R&D department

• You will ensure the quality and reliability of power products by leading test strategy, planning, execution, and automation efforts

• You will collaborate closely with development teams, product leadership, and other stakeholders to establish best practices, enhance testing efficiency, and improve overall product performance

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategies, plans, and frameworks for power system products

• Review requirements and specifications to align test coverage with product goals

• Plan and execute system, integration, and feature-level testing

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure

• Use test management and defect tracking tools for execution and documentation

• Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues

• Lead release decisions based on test results and system stability

• Mentor test engineers and promote best practices and innovation

• Work cross-functionally to prioritize testing needs and improve reliability

• Report test progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• At least 5+ years of experience in software/hardware testing, with at least 2+ years of experience in a leadership role

• At least 3+ years of experience in test automation using Python or tools like Robot Framework, Pytest, or Selenium WebDriver

• Strong experience in test planning, scheduling, and task estimation for system releases

• Proven ability to lead go/no-go decisions for releases based on test results and system performance

• Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to quickly identify system issues

• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies including Regression, Functional, Performance, Black Box, White Box, and Integration testing

• Ability to manage traceability between test plans, test cases, automation sequences, and requirements using test management tools

• Experience in international and/or multi-site project development

Skills & Abilities

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills with a focus on driving quality improvements

Preferences

• Hands-on experience with test automation for hardware-software integrated systems

• Understanding of communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, and IEC 61850

• Experience in regulatory compliance testing for power industry standards

• Familiarity with Jira, Jama, and Confluence for test management and defect tracking

• Experience with GitHub and Jenkins for CI/CD automation

• Knowledge of power systems, embedded systems, or industrial automation
