Senior Manager Lease Accountant (Finance)
Participate in the month-end close process by preparing assigned recurring and non-recurring journal entries
Prepare monthly GL/sub-ledger reconciliations and monthly analytics (flux analysis)
Participate in the company's lease accounting process by reviewing and entering leases into the lease accounting software, ensuring completeness and accuracy of lease information including lease life cycle events, such as extensions, amendments, and terminations
Acts as a subject matter expert of the lease process including the review of new and/modified or embedded leases for treatment under ASC 842, understand the downstream effect of lease corrections/modifications and show the financial impact with detailed analyses
Perform technical accounting research on complex accounting issues and process documentation related to ASC 842 and its associated updates
Assist with preparing and reviewing internal and external audit requests and various SEC reporting schedules impacting lease accounting including lease disclosures
Support continual improvement on the lease contract review processes and implementation of SOX controls
Lead resolution on open accounting problems across the business and take initiative to address them
Work across all work streams to improve processes and ensure compliance with internal controls
Communicate effectively with corporate operations and marina property personnel to ensure that transactions are recorded appropriately and in a timely manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and Physical Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's Degree is preferred
CPA is strongly preferred
Minimum of three years of progressive experience
Previous ASC 842 lease accounting experience strongly preferred
Mix of public auditing and industry accounting is required
Advanced In-depth understanding of US GAAP and SOX
Working knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls
Experience with automated accounting programs and systems; experience with NetSuite and/or BlackLine a plus
Experience with LeaseQuery a plus
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
