Customer Service Representative - Accredo - Remote, KS (Finance)



*Must live near McPherson, KS, and work from the branch the 1st Wednesday of each month d/t licensure of the nursing branch.*

Accredo is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our fast-paced Central Nursing Team. This role supports non-clinical functions and administrative tasks that contribute to exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

As a first point of contact, the CSR independently assists internal and external clients by researching information, resolving non-clinical issues, and ensuring timely responses. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Nurse Managers, field staff, and patients to complete assignments and support patient care.
  • Communicate with various departments and prescribers via fax, email, instant messaging, and phone.
  • Monitor personal and shared nursing mailboxes, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Use Excel to manage and analyze multiple documents to determine task priorities.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding nursing referrals, patient schedules, and general assistance.
  • Utilize pharmacy and scheduling systems to document and coordinate home infusion visits.
  • Facilitate patient document submissions using DocuSign.
  • Proactively communicate with nurse management and patients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Accurately enter data into appropriate systems.
  • Demonstrate a proactive work ethic and adaptability in a virtual training and management environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, learn quickly, and make independent decisions.
  • Professional maturity, flexibility, and multitasking ability.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Experience in healthcare or pharmacy customer service.
  • Familiarity with scheduling systems and document management tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
